How does the Explosive Firepower event work?
The Explosive Firepower event introduces a turret control-based gameplay dynamic. In each phase, players must operate a mounted weapon and eliminate advancing enemies in successive waves. The main objective is to prevent any opponent from crossing the defensive line, which reduces combat power and compromises overall performance in the round.
Each match is timed and demands precise shooting. Enemies appear in different movement patterns, requiring quick adaptations during the match. The difficulty increases progressively with each new stage unlocked, which amplifies the challenge and encourages the application of more refined strategies.
Types of shots and strategies during the phases
During the event, the player has access to different types of ammunition, each with specific characteristics. However, knowing how to switch between the available shots is essential to eliminate enemies more efficiently.
The explosive shot, for example, is ideal against Electro-type enemies, as it triggers the Overcharge reaction, causing an area explosion. This explosion affects not only the enemy hit, but also those nearby, speeding up the level's progress.
On the other hand, the piercing shot is recommended when enemies are lined up vertically. It penetrates multiple targets, making this feature effective against compact groups and opponents with protective shields, such as Geo Samachurl. After breaking through the protective barrier, subsequent attacks can directly hit the remaining opponents.
Furthermore, it's necessary to manage ammunition usage, as ammunition is limited in each stage. Firing without planning can result in failure, since running out of bullets automatically ends the challenge.
Rewards available at the event
Upon completing each of the five phases of the event, players receive rewards that aid in game progression. Prizes are awarded based on performance and include:
