The Insipid Prince Anime Unveils New Scenes in Latest Trailer

The anime The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne (Saikyou Degarashi Ouji) has revealed its first official trailer and confirmed a premiere date of July 2026. The adaptation of light novel introduced new cast members and highlighted the political struggle that drives the Adrasia Empire.

The main cast includes Yūma Uchida as Arnold, Kikunosuke Toya as Leonard, as well as Manaka Iwami, Maaya Uchida, and Kaede Hondo. Yūji Yanase directs at Maho Film studio, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu supervises the series' scripts.

The series will be directed by Yūji Yanase, known for works such as By the Grace of the Gods, while Kazuyuki Fudeyasu will handle the script. Character design will be developed by Kazuko Tadano, reinforcing the team's experience in the project produced by Maho Film studio.

Synopsis of The Insipid Prince

In the story, Arnold is the seventh prince of the Adrasia Empire and has a reputation for being useless. While his twin brother is admired by all, he hides an important secret. Under the identity of Silver, Arnold is one of the five SS-rank adventurers on the continent.

The Insipid Prince's Furtive Grab for The Throne is a fantasy light novel written by Tanba and illustrated by Yuunagi, published by Kadokawa. The work began on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in 2019 and quickly gained a print version under the Sneaker Bunko imprint.
