The publisher Shueisha released information that the manga My Hero Academia by author Kouhei Horikoshi has more than 50 million copies in circulation (including print and digital copies). Cumulative circulation in Japan alone has surpassed 37 million, and cumulative circulation outside of Japan is approximately 13 million.
In addition, the publisher launched a website to celebrate the release of the 30th volume, which includes memorable quotes from the book, as well as a small compilation of the year's highlights from class 1-A.
The manga has sold over 30 million copies since the release of the 29th volume on January 4th.
The publisher called 2021 "The Year of My Hero Academia's fifth season on March 27 anime, the franchise's first art exhibition in April, and the premiere of the franchise's third film on August 6.
Furthermore, the author Kouhei Horikoshi launched the work in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2014.
