franchise anime and manga The Quintessential Quintuplets (Go-Tōbun no Hanayome) confirmed a new animated project during a event in Tokyo. The new project includes a brand-new TV series and an OVA (Original Video Animation), expanding the story of the Nakano sisters beyond the events already known.

The new series adapts the light novel Gotoubun no Hanayome: Shunkashūtō, written by Hajime Asano with direct supervision from Negi Haruba, the original creator of the manga published in Weekly Shonen Magazine.

From all indications, the new Quintessential Quintuplets anime will follow a new period in the lives of the protagonists, bringing events after the end of the main work.
The anime will depict a full year in the lives of the quintuplets, starting in January of their third year of high school and ending in December after their graduation. This way, the audience will be able to follow their daily lives and the new challenges they face at a different stage of their lives.
Furthermore, the novel already has an ongoing manga adaptation, reinforcing the continued interest in the franchise. The goal is to expand the universe created by Haruba, while maintaining narrative consistency with the original material.
The OVA adapts chapters that haven't been animated yet

Another highlight of the announcement is the new OVA, which will adapt manga chapters that were left out of previous seasons. These extra episodes should bring moments eagerly awaited by readers, now finally presented in animated format.
The main cast returns, including Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Futaro Uesugi and familiar faces like Kana Hanazawa and Inori Minase playing the Nakano sisters. A release date has not yet been confirmed.
