Bandai Namco released a new teaser this Friday (12) for SAND LAND: THE SERIES, the anime adaptation of the manga SAND LAND, by Akira Toriyama.

- SAND LAND will get a colored manga version in August
The anime will be streamed exclusively worldwide on Disney+ Starin Spring 2024.
The anime series will feature never-before-seen clips from the film “SAND LAND,” famous scenes from the original manga, and a new story created by Toriyama that continues from the film. The series will also feature members of the film's cast and crew.
The returning cast members are:
- Mutsumi Tamura as Beelzebub
- Kazuhiro Yamaji as Rao
- Chō as Thief
- Satoshi Tsuruoka as General Are
- Nobuo Tobita as General Zau

Synopsis
In the distant future, war has destroyed the entire Earth, leaving only a barren desert where the water supply is controlled by a greedy king. Searching for a long-lost lake, Sheriff Rao seeks help from the Demon King… and gets the king's son, Beelzebub, and his assistant, Thief. Together, the unlikely trio sets off across the desert, facing dragons, bandits, and the deadliest enemy of all… the king's own army! It's a tank-action, road-trip adventure in this new story from Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball Z!
The manga “Sand Land” is a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha's “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a compiled volume of the manga in November 2000.
