The film was therefore titled Kakegurui 2: Ultimate Russian Roulette .

Synopsis

Hyakkaou Private Academy is an elite school that promises to prepare the children of the world's wealthiest people for real life. By day, it's like any other educational institution, but at night it transforms into a gambling den where young students learn the importance of manipulating people and the power of money. Among the students is the newcomer Yumeko Jabami, who, unlike the others, gambles for fun.

It's worth remembering that the film was originally scheduled to premiere in Japan on April 29th, but was delayed due to the pandemic and the state of emergency declared in four Japanese prefectures on April 25th. It was delayed again due to COVID-19 and the extended state of emergency in Japan, and a second postponement was also necessary thanks to the pandemic and the extension of the state of emergency.

The new Kakegurui movie will feature the return of much of the cast from the previous film, this time focusing on a new antagonist, the cunning gambler Makuro Shikigami , played by actor Ryuusei Fujii .
