Following a major reboot of the classic TOMB RAIDER earlier this year, our beloved heroine Lara Croft will venture into the pages of another medium. Of course, we're talking about comics, or rather, graphic novels. Written by screenwriter Gail Simone, known for "Batgirl" and "Wonder Woman," the story will serve as a prologue to the next game in the series – which has not yet been announced or even confirmed.
As explained by screenwriter Simone, the comic book's plot will begin a few weeks after the end of the last "Tomb Raider" and will follow the premise of a Lara Croft who is more after answers than treasures. "We'll start just a few weeks after the end of the first game. Everything will continue and lead directly to the game's sequel, and that makes us very excited to be part of the Tomb Raider story," revealed Simone.
Published by Dark Horse Comics, the comic book series will have its first volume released on February 26, 2014. Until then, we will await further information.
