Square Enix has confirmed a sequel to the Tomb Raider reboot, released this year. “Development of this game is going very well,” said Phil Rogers, CEO of the company. Darrell Gallagher, from Crystal Dynamics, which alongside Square made the last game, also spoke about the sequel. “We are still in the early days. (…) But I can assure you that we are trying to improve even further on what we did, to live up to the faith you have placed in us,” he said. The new title had been mentioned after the announcement of the comic book that would continue the story of the first game. The publication will be directed by Gail Simone, who has already written episodes of Deadpool at Marvel Comics, and Batgirl and Wonder Woman at DC Comics.
