Trails to Azure, a direct sequel released in 2011, continues the story a few months later. The apparent peace in Crossbell quickly unravels with new threats and conflicts involving the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard, placing the group at the center of an even greater crisis.
The Trails from Zero franchise continues to expand
Meanwhile, the franchise remains active. The remake of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter arrives on September 17th for PS5, Switch, Switch 2, and PC. This project continues the relaunch that began with Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, released globally in 2025.
With this new wave of versions, the series reinforces its presence among current audiences, maintaining its political narrative and focus on characters as one of the main pillars of the Japanese RPG genre.
