Rumor Alert: Ubel Blatt may get an anime adaptation
Synopsis:
The story of Übel Blatt takes place in a medieval fantasy setting, following Koinzell, who appears to be nothing more than a young half-human, notable for the striking scar on his left eye. He is determined to seek revenge against those who betrayed and murdered him, who call themselves the seven heroes of the region.
Thus, the renowned biannual seinen manga magazine, Young Gangan, serialized Übel Blatt's pages from December 2004 to 2009. Later, it was transferred to Monthly Big Gangan, where the series continued until its conclusion in March 2019. Square Enix compiled the series' 170 chapters into 24 tankōbon volumes.
However, a spin-off story titled Übel Blatt Gaiden was published in Young Gangan Big in August 2011. Yen Press began publishing Übel Blatt in North America in October 2014. The series was also translated into French, where it ranked among the country's bestsellers.
