WataNare Anime: Adaptation Announced for 2025

Fans can now celebrate, as the light novel WataNare ( Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wakenaijan, Muri Muri! or Muri Janakatta!? ) will finally get its long-awaited anime adaptation. In addition, a trailer and promotional image have already been revealed, further increasing expectations for the release.

Therefore, the premiere of the WataNare will take place in the summer season of 2025 with animation from the MOTHER studio.

WataNare Synopsis :

“I will achieve the perfect school life!” Rena Amori decides to completely change her life when she enters high school, after spending her adolescence as a loner. She dreams of living as a popular young woman full of friends, but her introverted personality almost suffocates her in this new environment.

WataNare is a Japanese 'yuri' light novel series written by Teren Mikami and illustrated by Eku Takeshima. Shueisha has released six volumes since February 2020 under its Dash X Bunko imprint. However, a manga adaptation with art by Musshu was released in the Dash X Comic section of Niconico Seiga in May 2020. Furthermore, the manga was also licensed in Brazil by Panini.
