Wind Breaker , a manhwa by Yongseok Jo , has officially ended its serialization after plagiarism allegations were confirmed. The decision was announced jointly by the author and Naver Webtoon , the platform where the work had accumulated over 600 million views.

Naver confirms visual similarities with other works

After an internal review and direct conversations with the author, Naver concluded that the manuscript contained visual and structural elements that were too similar to other publications . Therefore, the company chose to suspend all services related to the title, including its distribution.

The author, in turn, acknowledged the mistake. In a personal note, Yongseok Jo took full responsibility, explaining that, due to deadline pressure, he ended up exceeding the ethical boundaries of the creative process. Although he did not act with malicious intent, he admitted that he used references inappropriately.

Author publishes ending of Wind Breaker on personal blog

Jo revealed that he very much wanted to deliver the story's ending to the readers. However, given the seriousness of the situation, he chose to end the work prematurely . Even so, he made the original conclusion available on his personal blog—as a way of respecting the fans who followed the journey this far.

Furthermore, Naver emphasized that it takes copyright protection extremely seriously and remains committed to the integrity of its publications.
