Ya Boy Kongming! will get a live-action series

Fuji TV announced this Monday (1) the production of a live-action series adaptation of Ya Boy Kongming! (Paripi Kōmei) which will premiere on the network this fall.

Osamu Mukai (seen in costume below) will play Shokatsu Kōmei (Zhuge Kongming, better known in history as Zhuge Liang).

Shūhei Shibue will be one of the series' directors, with Nonji Nemoto as screenwriter. The series airs on Wednesdays at 10pm in Fuji TV's “Shinsui 10 Drama” timeslot.

Actor Osamu Mukai commented with bewilderment that his costume is almost 7 feet tall (counting the hat)

The manga was then released on Kodansha's Comic Days website in December 2019 and also began running in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine in November 2021. Additionally, the publisher released the 13th volume of the manga on the 6th. of April.

Furthermore, the work received an anime in April 2022. HIDIVE broadcast it exclusively and with simultaneous exhibition.

Synopsis

General of the Three Kingdoms, Kongming fought his entire life, facing countless battles that shaped him into the gifted strategist he was. So, on his deathbed, he wished only to be reborn in a peaceful world... and was sent straight to trendy party central, Tokyo! Can even a brilliant strategist like Kongming then adapt to the wild beats and even crazier people?!
