Continuation of the new generation of Yamato

The Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199 (Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199) project will be divided into seven films. Currently, the series is also available on Crunchyroll under the title Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199. The fifth film premiered in Japan in February of this year, while the fourth film will be released in Japanese theaters in October 2025.

In this production, Naomichi Yamato returns as director, accompanied by Harutoshi Fukui in supervision and screenplay. Character design remains in the hands of Nobuteru Yuki, while the soundtrack features Akira Miyagawa and Shu Kanematsu.

The film follows the events of Yamato 2205

The story serves as a direct continuation of Space Battleship Yamato 2205: The New Voyage. The project maintains the goal of updating the classic franchise originally created by Yoshinobu Nishizaki, while preserving traditional elements of the space saga that began in the 1970s.
