The manga series Zeikin de Katta Hon (Books Bought With Taxes), written by Zuino and illustrated by Kei Keiyama, will receive simultaneous anime and TV series adaptations. Meanwhile, the live-action is already confirmed to premiere this summer on NHK.

Actor Daiken Okudaira stars in the live-action series, which features a script by Riko Sakaguchi . Furthermore, Hiroyuki Muramatsu and Tomoki Sakanashi are directing .

Success of the manga in Young Magazine

Published by Kodansha since 2021, this slice-of-life comedy manga has gained readers on the YanMaga Web. Therefore, the anime announcement solidifies the franchise's popularity, which has already appeared in Da Vinci magazine's rankings. The studio responsible for the animation is expected to reveal more details soon. However, fans can already check out volume 18, recently released in Japan.
