Franky's new voice actor, Subaru Kimura , announced on stage at Anime Japan that the One Piece franchise will collaborate with the German football team Borussia Dortmund on March 30, 2025 (Brasilia time).

The One Piece production team has confirmed and released new pieces of the collaboration; the official X account posted the following message with a promotional image:

A collaboration match with Bundesliga football club Borussia Dortmund will be held on Monday, March 31 (Japan time) ⚽️

As a highlight of the event, Chopper and Dortmund's mascot, EMMA, will perform a walking act 🔥

The official anime YouTube channel also released a video of the Anime Japan panel where the announcement was made. The video features a promotional image and a message from Dortmund's left winger, Julian Brandt. Watch the video and the translation of the message:

"Hello to all One Piece fans in Japan, I'm Julian Brandt from Dortmund. BVB and One Piece are collaborating for the match on March 30th. I heard Chopper will be there and we're excited about that! Don't miss it!"

Currently, Dortmund is in 11th place in the Bundesliga. The team has played 26 games, with 10 wins, 5 draws, and 11 losses.

One Piece Collabs

The One Piece franchise has focused on sports collaborations ; recently, there was a collaboration with the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team , which took place on February 28, 2025.

The anime also has a collaboration with the Seattle Mariners baseball team , scheduled to take place on April 8, 2025. And with another baseball team, the Boston Red Sox , which will take place on May 3, 2025.
