Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage will have a total of 10 episodes

The official website for the Ranking of Kings (Ousama Ranking) anime, based on the manga by Sosuke Toka, revealed on Friday that the anime Ranking of Kings: The Treasure Chest of Courage (Ousama Ranking: Yuki no Takarabako) will have a total of 10 episodes, to be released on two Blu-ray discs and DVD box sets on July 5th and September 6th.

Furthermore, it's worth remembering that the team behind the new anime described it as a "special episode" from the original announcement. Therefore, the anime premiered on April 13th on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block.

The anime tells a story not seen in the original anime, and features a returning cast and crew. The group PEOPLE 1 sings the opening theme song “GOLD”, while singer Aimer sings the ending theme song “Atemonaku”.

The anime Ranking of Kings premiered in October 2021 and ran for two continuous cours (quarters of the year).

Synopsis

Son of giants, the expectation that Prince Bojji would be a great king falls apart when the kingdom is faced with a tiny, mute king with no talent for swordsmanship, but a fateful encounter completely changes his destiny. Accompanied by Kage, a shadow on the ground, Bojji embarks on an adventure of self-discovery and severe challenges. In the end, will Bojji be able to prove his worth to the kingdom and become a great king?
