Akumu no Sumu ie: Ghost Hunt and Oyasumi Jack the Ripper come to an end in Aria

The September issue of Aria brought news that, although expected, surprised the fans: The Akumu manga in the Sumi IE: Ghost Hunt and Oyasumi Jack the Ripper will come to an end. As released last Thursday, both works will end their publications already in the next issue of the magazine, scheduled for August 27.

The original announcement for Oyasumi Jack, The Ripper teased the story as follows:

“One day young Monsieur de Paris (executioner) Edward wakes up to find himself in hell… Among the various monsters that are running loose, Ed encounters “that man”, who is once again disturbing the surface of the world!?”

The trio launched the manga on ARIA in June 2015. The manga announcement had originally attempted to place the series under Salon with the working title Jack, The Ripper . The second volume was shipped on April 7. The adaptation phase took place from April 20-24, in Tokyo.

A goodbye to two striking stories

Oyasumi Jack the Ripper , from Ai Ninomiya , Ikuhiro is not Kinako , presented to the public a curious and bold plot. After all, the story accompanies Edward , a young carrasco of Paris who, unexpectedly, awakens in hell. There he comes across diverse monsters and, surprisingly, a mysterious man who once again threatens the surface peace. The manga, originally released in June 2015, had its second volume published in April 2017. In addition, a theatrical adaptation took place between April 20 and 24, in Tokyo.

On the other hand, Akumu in the Sumu IE: Ghost Hunt , designed by Shiho Inaado Fuyumi Ono 's novel released in 1994, will also end his journey. The manga adapts the rare homonymous romance, considered by many fans as the "elusive sequence" of the original Ghost Hunt . Therefore, readers can expect the third and final volume of the work for October 7th.

Ghost Hunt's legacy

Ghost Hunt 's original plot follows Mai Taniyama , a student who crosses the path of the Shibuya Psychic Research , a paranormal investigation agency led by enigmatic Naru . Over time, Mai joins an eccentric group composed of a Shinto priestess, a Buddhist monk, a famous self -proclaimed psychic and a Catholic exorcist. Already in Akumu at Sumu IE , the group investigates supernatural events in Midori's mother's house, expanding the mysterious universe of the series.

Aria published new chapters of Akumu in Sumu IE every two months. The second volume of the work was released in April 2014. Shiho Inaado had already closed the first series of Ghost Hunt in 2010. In addition, the publisher Del Rey published 11 of the 12 volumes of the original series in North America, while Funimation licensed and released the 25 -episode anime in 2008.

Ghost Hunt 's legacy remains alive among fans. After all, these works continue to arouse curiosity and passion for paranormal plots.
