The anime Kore Kaite Shine (Draw This and Die) has released a new promotional video highlighting the creative routine of protagonist Yasumi Ai. The series premieres on July 3, 2026 on Nippon TV. Additionally, singer Tatsuya Kitani will perform the opening theme song, "Isho".

The preview shows Ai discovering the manga "Robota to Pokota," a work that changes her perspective on drawing and creation. From this, she decides to form a manga research club at school, facing difficulties, insecurities, and significant moments related to the artistic process.

Anime Kore Kaite Shine reveals manga creation

Based on the manga by Toyoda Minoru, Kore Kaite Shine follows high school students dealing with the pressure of producing original stories. The plot focuses on personal growth through art, exploring everything from creative blocks to the satisfaction of completing a page.

The anime production is handled by Shin-Ei Animation studio, known for popular works in the industry. Hiroaki Akagi is directing , while Hiroko Fukuda is responsible for series composition and part of the scriptwriting. Akira Sekine voices the protagonist Yasumi Ai in the adaptation.

According to Tatsuya Kitani, the song "Isho" compares artistic creation to a kind of personal testament that continues to be updated as long as someone lives. The artist commented that creating works represents a way of leaving marks and recording feelings for other people to know in the future.
