The screenwriter of High School of the Dead, Daisuke Satou, passed away in 2017 due to a heart condition. Illustrator Shoji Sato mentioned that he often received comments from foreign fans unfamiliar with the situation, telling him to continue the series, saying, “ Although it also breaks my heart that the series has gone on hiatus, just thinking about Daisuke Satou makes me sad… to think that I can’t carelessly engage with Highschool of the Dead .”
5. Noburo Yamaguchi – Zero no Tsukaima

With only 20 of the 22 volumes completed, Zero no Tsukaima ( The Familiar of Zero ) is one of the author's last works. Noburo Yamaguchi had advanced cancer. The author gained great popularity when he began the light novel series Kakikake no Love Letter and Zero no Tsukaima ( The Familiar of Zero ). However, Yamaguchi went on hiatus due to a series of surgeries performed to stop the cancer from growing. Before Yamaguchi's death in 2013, he was able to share the plot, including the ending of his life's work, Zero no Tsukaima, with his editors.
4. Umanosuke Iida – Towa no Quon

First of all, Iida is a Japanese director, anime creator, and screenwriter who played a significant role in several anime series, such as Cowboy Bebop , Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä ( Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind ), Lupin III Part III , and Towa no Quon , an unfinished project. Towa no Quon is a six-film anime series that portrays the story of Quon, a leader of humans with different abilities who tries to ward off a secret organization.
3. Tomohiro Matsu – Hatena Illusion

He is known for his light novel series such as Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! ( Listen to me, girls. I am your father! ) and Mayoi Neko Overrun!.
