Comments by the author of BOFURI on the closing
BOFURI has officially come to an end! Thank you so much for all the support I received! Thanks to everyone's encouragement, I was able to reach an ending with which I am completely satisfied. This joyful journey, built on countless miracles, was truly happy for me—and I hope it was for you too.
Thus, with the 19th and final volume about to be released, the conclusion of BOFURI marks the end of an era for this fun fantasy and adventure series.
A light novel, written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin, initially published online on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. The publisher Fujimi Shobo acquired the work and released the first volume of the light novel in September 2017, under the Kadokawa Books imprint.
However, the work was adapted into a manga, with art by Jirō Oimoto, and serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Comp Ace, with eight tankōbon volumes released.
Furthermore, Bofuri had its anime adaptation, produced by studio Silver Link, which premiered between January and March 2020. Finally, a second season of the anime was released between January and April 2023.
