The creator of Chainsaw Man , Tatsuki Fujimoto , revealed in an interview with Shueisha that he currently prefers to focus more on writing than drawing. In other words, he wouldn't mind stopping drawing manga to concentrate on writing.

In this interview, Fujimoto discusses the possibility of retirement for manga and anime creators. He cites Hayao Miyazaki Studio Ghibli Aka Akasaka 's example and focus solely on writing.
"I don't know about that right now, but Aka Akasaka, the author of 'Oshi no Ko', stated that he wouldn't draw in order to focus on writing. I thought it was a good idea and I want to do that too! [laughs]."
Synopsis:
The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can make contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to pay off his deceased father's debt to the yakuza by selling several of his organs and working as a demon hunter. But Denji also has a small pet demon named Pochita, who assists him in his work.
Therefore, Tatsuki Fujimoto launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, finishing the first arc in December 2020 with 11 volumes. Part 2 of the manga launched in July 2022, but its chapters are now published in Shonen Jump+ . The new manga story features a new and different protagonist, Mitaka Asa, a student who attends the same school as Denji.
