In chapter 194 of Dandadan, released this Monday (12), the action doesn't let up. The focus remains on the growing tension between Jiji, Momo Ayase and the feared Kito family, culminating in a chaotic scene aboard a plane about to crash.

Beyond the physical battles, the plot delves into the characters' repressed emotions, the emergence of colossal powers, and the appearance of a bizarre supernatural phenomenon: flying sharks amidst a cyclone with human features. It's a chapter that combines horror, action, and humor with such originality as few manga do.

Conflicts intensify between Jiji and the Kito family

The chapter begins exactly where the previous one left off: Naki Kito appears menacingly before Jin “Jiji” Enjoji, ready for combat. Still shaken by the tragedy caused by the volcanic eruption, Naki accuses Jiji of mass murder, even in the face of Momo's denial, who insists that no one died in that event.

Tensions rise when the other members of the Kito family position themselves around the protagonists, clearly determined to eliminate anyone who poses a threat. The scene becomes even more tense with the revelation of the Kito family's dark past, marked by sacrificial rituals and serial murders.

Vamola's presence in its monstrous form surprises the villains, while Seiko Ayase seeks to understand the origin of this threat. In parallel, the conflict between Raiya and his opponents unfolds brutally.

Despite initially being at a disadvantage, Raiya and Unji Zuma fight back forcefully, transforming the fight into a spectacle of violence and courage. The manga's typical humor also appears when Zuma, even blind, knocks down an enemy and, confused, asks where he went.

Jiji tries to control the Evil Eye amidst the chaos

With the conflicts escalating, the focus returns to Jiji, who must control the terrifying Evil Eye within him. When confronted by Naki, he remembers the promise he made to Ken "Okarun" Takakura: never to kill anyone.

Tension mounts as Jiji begins to react more intensely, fending off attackers with powerful blows while trying to keep the inner monster under control. Naki's surprise at discovering that the Evil Eye still inhabits Jiji is evident, but even so, she presses on, determined to destroy it.

It is at this moment that Seiko steps in to protect Jiji, allowing Momo to use her psychic powers to regain control of the situation. The ideological clash also takes center stage: while the Kito family members insist they were unjustly imprisoned because of Momo's group, the protagonist firmly counters, accusing them of distorting the facts and perpetuating hatred.

Mysterious explosion changes the course of the battle

At the climax of the chapter, a sudden explosion in one of the plane's engines changes the course of events. Aboard the aircraft, everyone is thrown against the cabin walls, overcome by panic and confusion. The group soon realizes that this is no ordinary mechanical failure: Jiji identifies that something hit the plane, causing the explosion.

Looking out the window, the characters are confronted with a completely absurd and terrifying sight: dozens of sharks floating through the sky, seemingly dragged by a tornado, with human ears, noses, and mouths. This new element adds a layer of mystery and surrealism to the plot.

Until now, the Kito family was believed to be responsible for all the strange events, but their surprise at seeing the sharks indicates that there is another supernatural force at play. This revelation makes it clear that the true enemy may not yet have fully revealed itself.

Expectations for the next chapter

With the plane in freefall, the fate of Momo, Jiji, Seiko, Zuma, and the others is in imminent danger. While trying to survive the crash, they will also have to confront the Kito family and discover the origin of this bizarre new threat. The arrival of the supernatural phenomenon with human traits promises to transform the course of the story, and the next chapter should delve deeper into this new layer of the conflict.
