Kadokawa has confirmed that the highly anticipated second season of Delicious in Dungeon will arrive on Netflix on October 7, 2027. The announcement was made during Anime Expo 2026 and also included a new promotional image, presented as an "ultra teaser visual" for the upcoming episodes of the adaptation produced by Studio Trigger.
In addition to the premiere date, the online program “Delicious in Dungeon ~Dungeon Exploration Radio~” will return to broadcasting, according to reports. The show will once again feature voice actors Kentaro Kumagai, the voice of Laios, and Sayaka Senbongi, the voice of Marcille. Meanwhile, exhibitions dedicated to author Ryoko Kui and the franchise remain on display in Los Angeles until July 26th.
Synopsis
The story follows Laios and his group of adventurers on a quest to rescue a missing companion trapped in a dungeon. Penniless and out of supplies after a confrontation with a dragon, the team finds an unusual solution: turning monsters into meals.
The second season of Delicious in Dungeon will retain the main staff from the first season. Yoshihiro Miyajima returns as director, Kimiko Ueno supervises the script, Naoki Takeda is responsible for character design, and Yasunori Mitsuda composes the soundtrack. The animation will continue to be handled by Studio Trigger.
Finally, the first season premiered worldwide on Netflix in January 2024, totaling 24 episodes.
