The official website has revealed a new visual for the anime Hateshinaki Scarlet directed by Mamoru Hosoda , known for works such as The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and Summer Wars .

Synopsis of Hateshinaki Scarlet:
The story, created and scripted by Hosoda himself, features Scarlet, a princess who loses her father, the king of her country, assassinated by enemy forces. After failing in her attempt at revenge, Scarlet awakens in a "Realm of the Dead," a place where existence depends on completing her journey of vengeance.
Unlike her previous works, “Hateshinaki Scarlet” tackles the intense theme of revenge . In the already released visual, we see the protagonist Scarlet — a princess dressed in white, covered in blood, wielding a sword and staring at the viewer with a piercing gaze. The artwork also features the impactful phrase: “Should I continue living?”.
