New volume of Hunter x Hunter arrives in July
In addition to the return of the series, publisher Shueisha will release volume 39 of the manga on July 3rd. This will be the first new volume in the series in approximately 22 months. The edition will compile the most recent chapters published since the previous volume, released in September 2024.

Chapters 401 through 410 were published between the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025. At the time, Togashi revealed that he had already completed the storyboards for new chapters, even while facing health problems that impacted the pace of production.
Togashi's health continues to influence the series
In 2023, Shueisha announced that Hunter x Hunter would no longer follow a fixed weekly format due to the author's physical condition. Since then, Togashi has shared sporadic updates on the progress of the chapters through his social media.
Released in 1998, Hunter x Hunter remains one of the most influential works in Shonen Jump history, with adaptations in anime, films, stage plays, and games. Now, the manga's return marks another important chapter in the series' trajectory.
