According to the source, the contract in question requires all Jujutsu Kaisen animators to maintain confidentiality regarding the production. However, it appears that much of the team was unhappy with the arrangement and took their complaints online.

“I have nothing to lose, so if you want to take me to court for complaining, I accept.”

"Silencing the team from talking about how terrible the working conditions are is ironic. I don't care at this point because, yes, the schedule is beyond terrible, and the fact that the work is done with any level of competence is incredible. I will not compromise my health for a job that doesn't cover my rent, much less any other expenses. My main job and my overall well-being mean more to me than the fear of being blacklisted."

Furthermore, they also claim that the studio's work environment is chaotic, the pay is unfair, and the work hours are excessively harsh. Despite the situation, MAPPA has not released any response to this chaos.

Synopsis:

Therefore, to protect his friends and innocent people, Yuji decides to join the jujutsu sorcerers as a student-in-training under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, the strongest sorcerer of all.

The anime's first season premiered in October 2020 and featured 24 episodes animated by MAPPA. The studio also animated the film Jujutsu Kaisen 0, set a few years before the main series and telling the story of young Yuta Okkotsu.
