The official website for the Kirio Fan Club anime has released a second promotional video with English subtitles. The trailer features the series' opening and ending theme songs, as well as confirming production details. The anime will premiere in Japan in April.
The video highlights the opening theme “FANCLUB”, performed by Skirt and ODD Foot Works, and the ending theme “Harmony”, sung by singer-songwriter Ako. The series premieres on April 2nd on the Super Animeism TURBO block, broadcast by MBS and TBS.
Romantic comedy based on the manga by Ponchan
Kirio Fan Club is a romantic comedy manga written and illustrated by Chikyu no Sakana Ponchan. The story follows friends Aimi and Nami, two girls who share an intense crush on their classmate Kirio, even though he practically doesn't notice their existence. The two friends transform their admiration into an almost obsessive ritual. They analyze every detail of the boy and constantly argue about who really loves Kirio. At the same time, their friendship goes through absurd and competitive situations, creating a constant humorous tone.
Anime production and history of the work

The anime is directed by So Toyama at studio SATELIGHT. Aya Satsuki supervises and writes the series scripts, while Nami Hayashi is responsible for character designs. The soundtrack is composed by Tomoki Kikuya, with music production by Pony Canyon.
The original manga was published between 2022 and August 2024 on the Comic Ruelle service, from the publisher Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha. The work ended with six compiled volumes and received a short five-chapter spin-off published between 2024 and 2025.
In the 2025 edition of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi!, the work reached 10th place among the recommended titles for female readers. Furthermore, the story also received a live-action series adaptation that aired in April 2025.
