BS11 has released a trailer for the second season of the anime Maken-Ki!. The series is scheduled to premiere on January 15th, and the video highlights the opening theme "Cherish" performed by sweet ARMS .
The animation is being handled by studio Xebec, the director is Hiraku Kaneko (The Qwaser of Stigmata), and the character design is by Akio Takami (Shaman King).
The story revolves around Takeru Ōyama, a boy who attends an elite school where students battle with mysterious powers. It is at this school that he meets Kodama, his self-proclaimed fiancée Inaho, and Haruko, his childhood friend.
