The Maplestar anime , which transforms Makima and Denji into an alternate story, released in November 2022, has already garnered over 3 million views.

That said, today (February 17th) the video preview has already reached almost 3 million views on Twitter.

Just a reminder that the animation preview is 1 minute and 23 seconds long and was made available on Twitter by the animator himself. However, we also have the full video separately, which lasts approximately 3 and a half minutes.

Synopsis:

The story takes place in a world where demons are born from human fears. Although they are generally dangerous and malevolent, humans can make contracts with demons to use a portion of their power. Denji is a depressed young man trying to pay off his deceased father's debt to the Oakuza. The young man sells several of his organs and works as a demon hunter with his partner Pochita, who resembles a chainsaw and assists Denji in his work.

Maplestar built its reputation with animations aimed at an adult audience. Therefore, characters like MakimaYor Forger , and Marin Kitagawa helped solidify its name in the niche. Ultimately, the case reignites the debate about the value of independent work and support for auteur creators.

Finally, what are your thoughts on this Makima and Denji animation?
