Manga “A Condition Called Love” enters final arc

The 14th volume of the manga A Condition Called Love ( Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai ) by Megumi Morino revealed this Monday (13) that the manga will enter its final arc in the January issue of Kodansha 's Monthly Dessert , which will be available sale November 24th. Kodansha will release the 15th volume in April 2024.

The manga is being adapted into an anime ; starring Kana Hanazawa as Hotaru Hinase and Chiaki Kobayashi as Noi Hana (Hananoi-kun), scheduled to premiere in April 2024.

Synopsis

Hotaru Hinase is a girl who never understood love very well and was therefore resigned to the possibility of never falling in love. One day, while talking to a friend in a cafe, Hotaru sees Hinanoi, one of the prettiest boys in school, being rejected by his girlfriend. While walking home, Hotaru comes across Hinanoi sitting alone in a snowstorm. In a gesture of empathy, Hotaru extends her umbrella to the boy.

Morino launched the manga in Monthly Dessert magazine in December 2017. The manga has over 3.8 million copies in circulation, in addition, it won the 'Best Shoujo Manga' award at Kodansha's 45th Manga Awards in 2021. The animation will have Tomoe Makino directing the anime at East Fish Studio . Hitomi Amamiya is supervising the scripts. Akiko Satou is designing the characters.
