Independent animator Maplestar has shared news about their upcoming projects and confirmed a significant change to their schedule. According to an update published at the end of May 2026, the project focused on Reze will be released earlier than planned, even anticipating other previously announced productions.
Reze takes priority on the schedule
According to the creator, the animation for Reze progressed faster than expected during production. As a result, the release is now scheduled for before mid-June and also before the project based on Sakamoto Days. Maplestar stated that this was one of the most enjoyable projects he has ever worked on and highlighted the care applied to each sequence.

Furthermore, the artist revealed plans to open a new poll for subscribers of the SUPER SPICE! and LEWD SPICE GOD levels. The vote will help determine which projects will receive priority in the future.
Frieren, One Piece, and Kaiju No. 8 are still in production

While Reze approaches its premiere, projects inspired by Kaiju No. 8 and Sakamoto Days are also in advanced stages. Following that, the schedule includes productions related to Frieren, Maple-chan, and One Piece, which continue to see new developments behind the scenes.
Maplestar also shared never-before-seen previews of all these works and thanked the community for their continued support. For more news on independent animation, manga, and upcoming seasons, keep following AnimeNews for daily updates.
