ATLUS has announced that RAIDOU Remastered: The Mystery of The Soulless Army, its upcoming supernatural-themed action RPG, will be released on June 19, 2025. In addition to the official date, the developer released new images and information about the game's characters and environments.

One of the highlights is the full voice acting of the main characters, a new feature that promises to deepen the player's immersion in the narrative. Set in a stylized version of the Japanese capital during the Taisho era, the title combines traditional elements with emerging technology.

Characters gain voice and prominence

The story follows Raidou, a young detective and demon summoner, on his journey through different regions of the Capital.

Among the allies and central characters that appear in the plot are:

  • Dr. Tsukumo : an eccentric scientist who lives in the Amazing Science Lab in Fukagawa-cho.
  • Ryugu's owner : manager of a traditional restaurant in Ginza-cho, also involved in family businesses.
  • Denpachi Iida : rickshaw driver associated with the Ryugu restaurant, resistant to modernization.
  • Owner of Konnou-ya : shrewd businessman, always with his records at hand.
  • Owner of the Shin-Sekai Soda Joint : a mysterious figure with ties to the Yatagarasu organization.
  • Herald of Yatagarasu : responsible for the rituals that connect Raidou to the Dark Realm.

The original voice acting helps to highlight each character's personality and increases engagement with the plot. The setting and cast contribute to the narrative richness and deepen the player's experience.

Capitals, shops, and interactions with the game world

The game map offers a variety of detailed locations, blending modernity and tradition. The main regions of the Capital visited by Raidou include:

  • Tsukudo-cho : central district, headquarters of the Narumi Detective Agency and the Konnou-ya shop.
  • Fukagawa-cho : an area with a traditional atmosphere, featuring terraced houses and entertainment venues.
  • Ginza-cho : a vibrant urban center with restaurants, trams, and high-rise buildings.
  • Harumi-cho : a port area with Western-style buildings and international trade.

Important facilities within these areas enhance gameplay. The player can interact with:

  • Narumi Detective Agency : rescue and recovery point, with optional mahjong games.
  • Konnou-ya : an antique shop with items for battles and alchemy.
  • Shin-Sekai Soda Joint : a bar with drinks that increase Raidou's attributes.
  • Nameless Shrine : a shrine connected to Yatagarasu and a gateway to the Dark Realm.
  • Training Hall : a training space with demons and challenges like the Trial of a Hundred Demons.

These spaces offer strategic support, empower the protagonist, and expand interaction options throughout the journey.

Side missions and high replayability

The main campaign is accompanied by side missions, known as Case Files, which arise during Raidou's investigation. These requests come from both villagers and demons and reward the player with items and upgrades.

After finishing the game once, the Detective Legend level is unlocked, with increased difficulty. Another attractive feature is the possibility of fusing Raiho, a version of the Jack Frost mascot, by completing specific objectives. This reinforces the replayability factor, increasing interest in new game sessions.

On July 3rd, a free update will add 10 custom titles for the protagonist, chosen by fans on social media. Seven of them came from the North American community and three from Southeast Asia, the result of an interactive campaign promoted by ATLUS.

Requirements and compatibility between consoles

On PC, RAIDOU Remastered requires Windows 10 and processors starting from the Intel i5-2550K. For an ideal experience in 1080p and 60 FPS, 8 GB of RAM and graphics cards such as the GeForce GTX 760 are recommended. The game takes up approximately 20 GB of space.

The Nintendo Switch version is compatible with the new Nintendo Switch 2. However, the reverse is not possible: the edition developed for the Switch 2 does not run on the previous console. Saved data is also not transferable between versions.

In the physical edition for Switch 2, the cartridge includes an access code. An internet connection and 17 GB of free space are required to download the main files. Despite rumors, the game does not support Gameshare or the new console's mouse function.

The title is coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are now open on all platforms , with digital bonuses available for those who purchase the game in advance.
