The new Ghost in the Shell anime has released its fourth promotional video, offering another preview of the highly anticipated adaptation produced by Studio Science SARU . The video highlights the series' ending theme for the first time, and also reinforces the July premiere date.

The chosen ending theme song is “Blue,”performed by MILLENNIUM PARADE in collaboration with Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar. However, the premiere will take place on July 7th on Japanese television and will be streamed worldwide on Amazon Prime Video, except in China and Russia.

Science SARU takes on a new adaptation

Titled The Ghost in the Shell, the project marks a new interpretation of the classic manga created by Masamune Shirow. The direction is in the hands of Mokochan, who makes his directorial debut after working as an animator and storyboard artist on works such as DANDADAN and Tatami Time Machine Blues.

The script will be supervised by Toh Enjoe, while Shūhei Handa is responsible for character design and also serves as chief animation director. The soundtrack will feature compositions by Taisei Iwasaki, Ryō Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka.

Early screening at an international event

Before the official premiere, the first two episodes will be screened during Anime Expo 2026 in the United States, and also at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France. Following the Anime Expo screening, there will be a special panel with members of the production team.

Furthermore, while we wait for the premiere, follow more news about anime and seasonal releases here at AnimeNew.
