Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine has officially confirmed the production of an anime based on the manga The Sado Life of Rosé the Witch ( Mahoutsukai Rose no Sado Life ). The work, written and illustrated by Ominaeshi , has won over audiences with its reverse isekai premise focused on comedy and slice of life .

The story introduces Rosé Staria, a young witch marginalized in her original world because of her black hair. Seeking a fresh start, she magically travels to modern Japan. However, instead of Tokyo, she lands on the peaceful Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture. thenfocuses on the comedic relationship between Rosé and Sana Tsuchiya, the local resident who rescues her.

Success of the manga and production

Published by Houbunsha since 2022, the manga received a nomination for the Next Manga Awards in 2024. However, the production committee is still keeping the animation studio and premiere date a secret. Finally, fans are eagerly awaiting the sixth volume of the series, which will hit Japanese bookstores in March 2026.
