The anime The World Is Dancing has revealed its main trailer along with new production details. The video highlights the additional cast, never-before-seen scenes, and the opening theme song “shusho,” performed by the band Macaroni Empitsu. The series will premiere in Japan on July 2, 2026.

The anime will initially air on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto at 10 PM Japanese time. Additionally, other channels such as Sun TV, BS Asahi , and TVQ Kyushu will begin broadcasting it the following day.
Production brings together a team of well-known names
The anime adapts the manga by Kazuto Mihara, published by Kodansha directed the series Toshimasa Kuroyanagi, known for works such as Backflip!! and The Great Passage, while Keigo Sasaki developed the character designs at Cygames Pictures.

History follows the origins of Noh theater
The story takes place in 1374 during the conflict between the Northern and Southern Courts in Japan. The protagonist, Oniyasha, is born into a family connected to the sarugaku theater, but constantly questions why people dance. However, after witnessing a remarkable performance, his perspective changes completely.
The narrative follows the boy who would later become Zeami, a historical figure responsible for consolidating the art of Noh theater.
