Tougen Anki dominates Netflix Japan and enters the global Top 5

The anime TOUGEN ANKI: Legend of the Cursed Blood has captivated audiences and now holds 5th place in Netflix (non-English language TV series). In Japan, the production leads the ranking in 1st place, even surpassing Kaiju No. 8 – Season 2.With this, the title solidifies its position as one of the most popular anime of 2025.

The series premiered on July 11, 2025, and is already available on various platforms, such as Crunchyroll, Netflix, Prime Video , and even on the official It's Anime YouTube channel. Thanks to this wide distribution, TOUGEN ANKI has been called "one of the most accessible anime of the year."

The original manga by Yura Urushibara , published since 2020 in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, has already surpassed 4 million copies sold in Japan. The anime adaptation is directed by Ato Nonaka and assisted by Hiroyuki Hashimoto . The script and series composition are by Yukie Sugawara , with character designs by Ryoko Amisaki . The soundtrack was composed by Kohta Yamamoto and produced by Pony Canyon .

The main cast includes Kazuki Ura , Hiroshi Kamiya , and Koutaro Nishiyama . Recently, names like Aimi , Kaito Miura , and Natsuki Hanae have also joined the voice cast , further increasing fan anticipation.
