Microsoft today announced its new console: the Xbox One. The presentation was streamed online. Microsoft began its presentation by discussing the connectivity possibilities of the new console and the Xbox Live service. Microsoft with the new device is to transform the video game console into a multimedia center that brings all the entertainment together in people's living rooms – including a channel guide function, just like a cable TV.
Specifications:
The console will come with a Blu-ray drive and 8GB of DDR3 RAM, USB 3.0, 64-bit architecture, and a 500GB hard drive. The Kinect camera records in 1080p, and the peripheral will be included with the console, offering voice and faster action capabilities, processing 2GB of information per second in 30 billion seconds. There will be connectivity between the camera and Skype.
