Zombie Land Saga fans can rejoice! We have the first trailer for the movie Zombie Land Saga: Yumeginga Paradise . The film was announced in 2021 and will be animated by studio MAPPA (Attack on Titan).
MAPPA studio revealed an promotional visual (Visual Key), making fans even more eager for the release.
Producer Nobuhiro Takenaka (Cygames) commented on the film's progress:
From the film's announcement to the confirmation of its theatrical release, many things happened. In a world that changes so quickly, sometimes we feel lost, unable to keep up with the pace. But, in the meantime, this story was being built, piece by piece.
Three years have passed since the announcement, but we've never stopped thinking about Franchouchou and the land of Saga . I hope that, through this film, we can bring a little bit of dreams and hope directly from Saga to each of you.
Synopsis of Zombie Land Saga:
The anime follows Sakura Minamoto, who dreams of becoming an idol, but is hit by a car and wakes up as a zombie. A man named Kōtarō Tatsumi appears and tells her that he is recruiting her for an idol group made up of zombies, dead girls he has "recruited" from various eras of Japanese history.
Zombie Land Saga is a Japanese animated series produced by MAPPA, Avex Pictures, and Cygames. The series aired in Japan between October and December 2018. A second season titled Zombie Land Saga Revenge premiered in 2021. However, a manga adaptation began serialization on Cygames' Cycomi website in October 2018.
