The anime film Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku (You, Fireworks, and Our Promise) received a new official trailer this Tuesday (19), bringing more details about the cast, technical team and theme song.

The idol group timelessz performs the song "Kienai Hanabi," and also features in the production with actor Shōri Satō in the lead role.

The story follows Makoto Natsume, a shy student from Tokyo, and Aki Hayama, a class president known for her popularity and talent. The two become connected by a mysterious fireworks display during the traditional Nagaoka Fireworks Festival in Niigata, one of the largest events of its kind in Japan.

The film was directed by Kei Suzuki, known for his work on Tower of God and City Hunter: Angel Dust. The screenplay was written by Kōhei Mori, while the character design was done by Yūji Watanabe. Arisa Okehazama produced the film's soundtrack.
Furthermore, actress Nanoka Hara, known for Suzume and the live-action adaptation of Oshi no Ko, plays the protagonist Aki. The project is being produced by Synergy SP and The Answer Studio, with distribution by Shochiku.
The premiere date has already been confirmed
Therefore, the film will premiere in Japanese theaters on July 17th. Prior to that, the production appeared at the "Goes to Cannes" event, linked to the Tokyo International Film Festival, during this year's Cannes Film Festival.
