The romantic comedy manga Kizuguchi to Hōtai (Wound and Bandage), by Umihoshi Nanai, has officially received its TV anime adaptation. Studio JC Staff announced the production, which also released two new visuals for the series. The premiere is scheduled for January 2027.

The series is scheduled to premiere in January 2027 and will air on ABC TV and TV Asahi's Animazing!!! block , known for broadcasting major anime productions during the Japanese late-night hours. In addition to the announcement, the team released new promotional visuals for the series, including a special version described as "weak loving."

Synopsis Kizuguchi to Hōtai
The story follows Riyo Washizu, the daughter of the leader of a powerful yakuza organization that dominates the Kanto region of Japan. To ensure her safety, the young subordinate Gō Kiritani is assigned as her caretaker. Initially, Gō believes he will be dealing with a quiet and obedient girl. However, he soon discovers an unexpected peculiarity in Riyo: she has an obsession with seeing strong people in moments of vulnerability.
Miyuki Ishida , who worked on episodes of One Punch Man and also directed I.Cinnamoroll , will direct Kizuguchi to Hōtai . However, Susumu Yamakawa , known for his work on The Way of the Househusband and Murai in Love , will write the script .
Natsuki Ōyama , who designed the characters, also participated in "Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?".
Umihoshi Nanai's manga began serialization on Comic Daysin August 2024. The fifth volume will finally debut in Japan on July 16, 2026.
