Career connected to the Gundam universe
Kōzō Ōmori became known among readers for adapting the anime project Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (Gundam NT) into a manga in 2018. The work concluded in August 2025 with 17 collected volumes published by Kadokawa. In addition, the author also worked on the adaptations of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and its sequel, Gundam 00 2nd Season.

History with Gundam UC
The artist still has a strong connection to the Gundam UC, having drawn the manga Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée between 2010 and 2016. Later, he released the spin-off Episode:0, published between 2017 and 2018 in the same Gundam Ace magazine. Some of these works even received an official English version by Bandai Entertainment.
With this announcement, the Gundam is once again expanding its presence in manga in 2026, reinforcing Kadokawa's strategy of keeping new stories from the series in constant circulation.
