The fifth season of the anime Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) has been confirmed to premiere on streaming on April 8, 2026. The production released a new promotional video that previews scenes of the kiss in the current arc created by Reiji Miyajima.
Initially, the episodes will arrive on the DMM TV service at 10 PM (Japan time). Following that, the series will air on the Animeism programming block on MBS, TBS, and CBC, with the television broadcast scheduled for the early morning hours of April 10th to 11th.
Rent-a-Girlfriend: Season 5 highlights kiss and opening sequence
In addition to the trailer, the team revealed information about the season's music. Voice actress and singer Sora Amamiya performs the opening theme "Non Scenario Etude," composed by the artist herself. The rock band NAKIGOTO sings the ending theme "204-gōshitsu.".

In practice, this fifth season functions as the second cour of the fourth phase of the anime. The continuation maintains the focus on the Hawaiians arc, an important stage of the original manga that expands the conflicts between the main characters.
Production retains the TMS studio team
The anime continues under production by TMS Entertainment studio. Kazuomi Koga, director of the first two seasons, returned to direct the fourth and fifth seasons, replacing Shin'ya Une, who was responsible for the third season which aired in 2023.
Rent-a-Girlfriend is a manga written and illustrated by Reiji Miyajima. It began serialization in 2017 in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine and follows Kazuya, a university student who starts using a rental dating service after a frustrating breakup.
