Ushiro no Shomen Kamui-san confirmed to premiere in July

The anime Ushiro no Shomen Kamui-san (Kamui-san Directly Behind You) has had its first teaser revealed, along with a new visual, main cast, and production team. The adaptation of the manga by Eroki and Shinko Konoshiro will premiere on Japanese TV in July.

The cast includes Tomokazu Sugita as Kamui, while Riko Aono plays Shizuka. MAO voices Oichi, a spirit linked to a centuries-old doll, and Yuka Aisaka plays Kyoko. Shiori Izawa plays Inagawa, a classmate who questions the protagonist's powers.

The series is directed by Takumi Tsukumo at studios Zero-G and ZG-R. Motofumi Nakajo is in charge of the script, while Toshinari Yamashita is responsible for the character designs. The soundtrack will be composed by Chihiro Endo.

Synopsis

The story follows Shizuka Mimitsuka, a student with psychic abilities who frequently ends up possessed by spirits. She begins working with Kamui, a famous medium who uses unconventional methods in his exorcisms.

Origin of manga and debut

The original manga was launched in March 2020 on Manga ONE. Currently, the work has 12 published volumes, solidifying its presence among supernatural titles focused on humor and unusual situations.

The anime production involves the Deregula label, from WWWave Corporation, known for projects with unique approaches. The premiere in July marks the arrival of yet another adaptation aimed at an audience that enjoys occult themes with an irreverent touch.
