The Solo Leveling franchise has just expanded its universe with a new project for fans. During Anime Expo 2026, Crunchyroll announced the anime film Solo Leveling: Beyond the System , which will directly continue the events seen in the second season of the series.

In addition to the announcement, a concept video was released along with a promotional image. The feature film is already in production and will reunite part of the team responsible for the television adaptation. This news reinforces the global success of the work created by Chugong and illustrated by DUBU, from REDICE STUDIO.

What can we expect from the new Solo Leveling movie?

Although plot details have yet to be revealed, Solo Leveling: Beyond the System will continue Sung Jinwoo's journey after the events of the second season. The production emerges as the next official chapter of the anime adaptation, expanding the story that has captivated millions of readers and viewers worldwide.

The original work began as a web novel and was later adapted into a webtoon published between 2018 and 2021. Currently, the franchise also includes games, multimedia projects, and a Korean live-action adaptation in development.

The team returns to production

Studio A-1 Pictures returns to animate the feature film. Tao Tajima takes on the role of director, as well as director of photography, editor, and colorist. Tomoko Sudo returns as character designer and key animator. The production brings together Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Netmarble, D&C MEDIA, and Kakao Piccoma.
