The First Slam Dunk – Film receives new promotional video

Toei Animation revealed in a live broadcast this Friday a new promotional video for The First Slam Dunk Takehiko Inoue 's basketball manga Slam Dunk .

In addition, the broadcast also revealed the film's main voice actors, as well as the artists of the theme songs.

The Birthday group will perform the film's opening theme song, while the group 10-FEET will perform the ending theme song “Dai Zero Kan”.

The film will be released in Japan on December 3rd.

Inoue is personally directing the film at Toei Animation studio and writing the script. Among the team members listed are character designer/animation director Yasuyuki Ebara (Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) and technical directors Katsuhiko Kitada (Attack on Titan episodes, Major: Yuujou no Winning Shot), Naoki Miyahara (Digimon Adventure , Popin Q), Toshio Ouhashi (LayereD Stories 0) and Yuu Kamatani (Looking for Magical DoReMi, Precure Super Stars!).

Daiki Nakazawa is directing the CG, while Yuuta Ogura is producing the CG. Kazuo Ogura is directing the art. Yota Tsuruoka is directing the sound along with Koji Kasamatsu.

Synopsis

Slam Dunk tells the story of Hanamichi Sakuragi, a delinquent high school student in love with the delicate Haruko Akagi, who introduces him to the world of basketball. From then on, the clumsy character begins to get involved in sport, to be part of a team and to develop as an athlete and person.

Takehiko Inoue then published his iconic sports manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1990 to 1996 with a total of 31 volumes. The manga inspired an anime in 1993, and received four sequels in animated film format.
